Growing Photography Trends

Photography is getting popular with each going day. Photography trends are increasing as well. There used to be a limited fields like close-up photography, landscape, portrait, wild-life photography and others. Now the variation is more like street photography, product photography, miniature faking photography and others. The variations of photography trends are growing at an exponential rate, just like the different hobbies kids have today. In the past, we were happy with playing marbles and catching spiders. Now kids turn to gaming, and online gaming trends are aplenty as well. We have RPGs, Fps, Strategy, Arcade and the list goes terribly long again.

Miniature Faking

It is a technique that employs the use of tilt-shift photography. But what is tilt-shift photography in the first place?

Miniature Faking photography is an interesting photography technique that photographers 'transform' the actual scene into a 'toy-like' scene. The image captured is made to look like a miniature model scale setting, where every subject is minified. Miniature Faking is either acheived by using tilt-shift lens or using image-editing software to digitally modify the images, which is popularly known as Fake Tilt-Shift.

Optical Tilt-Shift Photography and Digital Tilt-Shift Photography

Simply optical tilt-shift photography are images captured using tilt-shift lens. Tilt-shift lens are also known as perspective control lens, tilt transfomer lens. Canon, Nikon, Leica, Schneider, Lensbaby are some of the limited lens manufacturers that still produce tilt-shift lens.

Do remember tilt-shift lens remain very expensive today, despite in the market for decades, as the mechanics within the camera lens is comparatively more complicated and sophiscated than most of the camera lens today.

Digital  tilt-shift photography  is also known as fake  tilt-shift photography  and it employs the use of photo-editing software to digitally modify the image into a tilt-shift effect image. There are also tilt-shift makers and generators that allow users to do their fake tilt-shift rendering online. users are able to save and download the resulted images.

The same goes for tilt-software. There are many desktop and online tilt-shift software that offers you fake tilt-shift results, but the difference among them is not only the price but the realism and the learning curve. Adobe Photoshop CS is a great image-eding software to render tilt-shift effect, but the learning curve is quite steep and unless you are need to use photoshop for your job or on a daily basis, then it may be unwise to use Photoshop as the price is quite expensive as well.
